Tourism in our country had been increasing positively for many years. There are 2200 private companies in Albania that operate in the tourist area.
They say that last year they had 6 million tourists, and this year they expected 15% more, but the recent protests of the opposition have made many trips to be cancelled.
“Tourists are asking their agencies to suspend the bookings, fearing the recent events. There are anti-Albanian circles that tend to take the situation out of proportion for their own interests”, said Rrahman Kasa, head of the Albanian Tourist Union.
He confirms that there have been fewer Polish tourists.
