Thaci in Skopje, appeals Macedonians to vote in favor of new agreement with Greece

During his visit in Skopje, the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, appealed the citizens of Macedonia, especially Albanians, to vote without hesitation in favor of the new name that the government agreed with Greece.

According to Thaci, the decision would seal Macedonia’s Euro-Atlantic future.

Thaci met with the Prime Minister of Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, with whom he held a press release.

“Through my modest authority, on behalf of Kosovo, a neighbor of Macedonia, I appeal all citizens to attend the referendum and start voting in favor of the name. Macedonia will bring more peace for the entire region, including Kosovo. This is a historic moment that needs to be exploited”, Thaci said.

The President of Kosovo spoke about the Prishtina-Belgrade dialogue, saying that the agreement will be difficult to be reached, but the progress of both countries should not be held hostage of their disagreements.

Zaev greeted the dialogue between Prishtina and Belgrade, and underlined that it is very important for the leadrs of the region to nite in the path towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
