Local Elections for Tirana’s new mayor. (UPDATE)
They presented a detailed analyze of the work that was made by the group of experts in the Socialist headquarters, which were put in a folder together with the 485 videos of each voting center that, according to the Socialists, contradict the result that was later deformed on the tables of the Central Election Commission.
Such a case is that of voting center 1941, at Municipal Unit 8, where the documents and video footages show that the counting group has signed off a result that shows 517 voters and 517 ballots. But at the Central Election Commission, this result changed and showed that there are four more ballots than voters.
“These ballots have been inserted after the voting process, in a manipulative way, by spoiling the process with inconsistencies”, said the experts.
The Socialists showed many other boxes, the result of which was changed on the tables of the Central Election Commission. Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, appealed the Electoral College by asking the judges to respect the constitution, the international standards set by the Commission of Venice and the other precedents in these elections.
“The Electoral College must respect the precedents of their own decisions during these elections”, said Rama.
The opposition leader said that there is a solution for not allowing the crisis to deteriorate:
“We are ready to return in front of the people of Tirana for another voting process. The way how this crisis will be solved is more important than the name of the winner”, Rama added.
After two years of protests, boycotts, strikes and demonstrations that according to Rama brought the victory of the Socialist Party, he declared that the end of the Parliamentary boycott depends on the procedures of the Electoral Process.
“We have signed an agreement with the citizens. The new Parliamentary session must be the session of legal initiatives”, Rama declared.
However, as the Socialist Party leader declared, the battle of the moment is to face justice with the facts and evidence for electoral fraud.
Meanwhile, the Socialist Party will start the electoral process that will culminate in November fifth with its congress.
By the end of the assembly, MP Klosi declared that they have decided to establish two groups that will make the structural changes of the Socialist Party and that will review the new program.
