Serbian nationalists who opposed an agreement with Kosovo want a referendum on the matter.
Their purpose is to collect 100,000 signatures and present the referendum request in Parliament, which will force a referendum.
“It is necessary to exert social pressure and avoid signing the so-called legally-imposing agreement, which practically means giving up Kosovo”, said Mladen Obradovic for BIRN, as leader of the initiative “Rise for Kosovo”.
President Vucic has stated several times that the international community demands a legal agreement between Belgrade and Prishtina.
