The Russian Embassy reacted after the news published by the US magazine “Mother Jones”, and then by Albanian media, shedding shadows of doubt about the money used by the Democratic Party for lobbying in Washington.
According to the article published on Mother Jones, there is strong evidence that this money comes from two Russian companies.
The Russian Embassy in Tirana said that this was an absurd lie that doesn’t deserve detailed comments.
“This speculation is part of a dirty media campaign initiated by Western media against Russia. Their purpose is clear; they want to impose a distorted perception of our country and undermine possible positive cooperation between Russia and Albania”, the Embassy’s declaration said.
The Embassy confirms once again that they are ready to communicate and cooperate with all Albanian political forces in Albania, to progress with bilateral dialogue.
