The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, declared in a meeting with Shengjin local leaders that the water reform aims for the better interest of citizens.

“There have been serious problems in Lezha with tap water. This is the last month for installing meters and legalizing connections. The Aqueduct enterprises have turned into employment offices that damage the economy”, Rama declared.

The Prime Minister added; “Truth is that water is paid by regular consumers of all levels, and it is stolen by consumers of all levels. It is not a matter of poverty, but a matter of their relations with the law. If everyone pays, the common burden gets lighter”.
