The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, declared on Top Channel’s political talk show “Open” that the Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, had tried to divide the territories of Kosovo.
Top Channel’s journalist, Muhamed Veliu, asked PM Rama to comment on this matter exclusively on Top Channel.
“Ramush is using defamation as guns after stopping to use guns. While I have honored him maximally for using his guns in the war, for the defamation I can only invite him at the Kosovo Court, to prove what he has said.
“Different from Ramush and other politicians who don’t respect the truth and the public, I will not get to the level of defamation.
“There’s nothing to be ashamed of to go to the court to defend yourself against someone who has used lies to publicly damage your dignity. I can’t say the same about those who use public communication channels to keep throwing slanders”, Rama declared.
“There’s nothing to be ashamed of to let justice decide about you, as the victim of a slanderer who calls you a traitor with low slander.
“There’s a lot to be ashamed if you attack someone with the only purpose to manipulate the public’s opinion, by fabricating untrue stories.
“I wanted to divide Kosovo as much as Ramush wanted to separate Prince Harry form the Royal Family.
“Ramush Haradinaj will always have my respect as a former commander of the KLA, for everything he has given to the cause of Kosovo’s freedom.
“But as a politician of today, Haradinaj deserves only my sympathy for the low political and expressive level in which he is exerting his activity and power.
“It’s sad to see how Haradinaj’s shortsighted policy has damaged Kosovo in the eyes of our greater friends, giving Serbia a constant advantage in the international arena.
“I wish that my lawsuit against him will serve to open the eyes of those who are a victim of the political defamation that is coming from the media outlets in Tirana and Prishtina”, Rama said for Top Channel.
