Rama responds to Basha’s vetting request with irony

After the Democratic Party leader made a request for starting a vetting process of politicians, but without going into details, Rama responded with an ironic message on social networks.
According to Basha, the establishing of the Special Prosecution Against Corruption and of the National Bureau of Investigation, (both institutions created by the judicial reform that was drafted in cooperation with international partners and agreed by all political parties in Albania) can only investigate politicians for whom there is evidence that they have connections with crime. But Basha’s proposition aims to clean every corrupted politician.
Rama chose to respond with irony on Twitter, insinuating that what Basha is demanding is to make a vetting without evidence, like thi:
Rama: “The friend of my sister’s husband is a criminal. His mother has ties with three criminal neighbors. The in-laws of someone who is a trafficker have ties with my political adversary. Since I have no chances to take power through fair elections, I want a vetting for his ties with crime”.
