The Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama, responded to the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, who accused that the government had started a slander campaign against Gunther Krichbaum, the Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for European Matters at the German Parliament.
“You just said in Albanian what you wrote in German with the help of ‘lovers’ of Albania. You wrote in it in German and sent it to Berlin, the supposed attack coming from me against Krischbaum. This is what you and your and your German speaking followers do all the time, throwing mud whenever you are in difficulty. You slander to make Albania pay for your deep loss. You abuse with your international friends, who are always in smaller numbers”, Rama said.
The Prime Minister added that Gunther Krischbaum is not his friend and is not among those who root for the Socialist Party, but he has never been the target of any attack orchestrated by me or the Socialist Party”, he said.
