Socialist Party leader, Edi Rama, declared that the Prime Minister
Berisha is trying to bring the opposition to its knees with the vote
manipulation of the Tirana Municipality.

He emphasized that something like this will not be allowed and opposition protests will spread and escalate throughout Albania.

“Berisha pretends of not listening to people’s voice and international partners. If he will not stop the masquerade that is being made at Central Election Commission, citizens’ resistance will spread throughout Albania, and citizens will be called for the final removal of this government”, Rama declared.

“With anti-constitutional violence, Berisha is trying to take no only the Tirana Municipality, but also to bring opposition to its knees. Albania is not Tunisia or Belarus. Albanians have always known when should they rise”, Rama declared.

“Albania has been suffering for 20 years the crisis of stolen votes. This time, the crisis is an appeal to which we must respond until the end. Berisha will be obliged to learn that whoever plays with the obligations towards the people, plays with a kind of power that once getting on the streets, never turns back without taking their rights”, Rama underlined.
