After a two hour session, the Supreme Court decided to join the request
of Ilir Meta, former First Deputy Prime Minister and leader of
government’s main coalition party SMI (Socialist Movement for
Integration) with his main case that is under accusation from the
General Prosecution. The invalidity of the proofs will be judged during
his processing.

Ilir Meta defense lawyers asked the Supreme Court to declare the proofs against him as invalid, including the expertise result of the American technician Glen Board who inspected the video file transmitted on Top Channel’s program “Fiks Fare”, showing the SMI leader dealing with corruptive affairs.
