Three parties of the ruling coalition in the Netherlands voted a resolution which asked their government to not open the accession negotiations with either Albania or Macedonia.
The decision is no surprise, as Netherlands has often been blocking the EU enlargement process with other countries as well.
The Netherlands has been against Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and Turkey.
The Netherlands was against the candidate status for Albania even in 2013.
