One of Ndragheta bosses, who escaped an arrest operation in Bologna, Italy, was caught in Vlore while on holidays.

The 32-year-old, Giuseppe Simonelli, also known with the alias “El Packo”, was one of the few bosses that escaped from the Italian Anti-Mafia, which executed an order of Bologna Court for the arrest of 17 Italian citizens suspected of drug traffic and connections with the mafia.

The Italian boss of Ndragheta was declared as a fugitive by the Italian police, accused together with 16 others of having financed and transported 1600 kg of cocaine that were arriving to Bologna from Columbia.

During a press release, the General Police Directory did not give many details regarding the arrest, but they explained that the operation was made for realizing his extradition to Italy.

Police sources say that his arrest was made under the presence of his two friends, one of whom was Italian.

But police declared that they released both of them, since there is no evidence for the consumption of a criminal act. The Police declared that the Italian boss did not have criminal activities in our country, but they didn’t deny that they will investigate about this, since Simonelli will be extradited after a few days to Italy.
