Fewer than 300 residents are living today in Narta, just 10 kilometers from the city of Vlora. There used to be 3000, but many moved outside Albania and in bigger cities.
90% of the buildings have no residents inside. Some have returned, temporarily, as their purpose is to leave once again for economic purposes.
Narta used to be very famous for producing wine, olive and fishing. Today there is no one to work the lands, and older residents fear the future of the village.
