The Albanian football has lost one of its legends. The former goalkeeper of the Albanian national team, Mikel Janku, died after a fatal disease at 78.
Born in 1941, Janku started a career as an aviator which he later quit to dedicate himself completely to football.
He played for Partizani form 1962 to 1969 and helped the team win several national championships.
From 1964 to 1967 he also defended the national team of Albania, attending FIFA and UEFA competitions.
