Local libraries, Veliaj: “A victory against anti-culture”

“If you want your children to spend less time with computers and cell phones, orient them towards books”.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, announced that libraries that are being opened in neighborhoods are now starting to get visitors.
“It has always been our ambition to provide such shelters for books. New libraries look like luxurious cafes. It makes me proud, the fact that the public, the municipality and the city offers the same luxury for books that capitalists offer for cafes”, Veliaj said.
The newest library, at Municipal Unit 8, is named after Hamit Beqaj and the Mayor appeals everyone to donate books in order to enrich them in the future.
