Lezha municipality officials appeared today in court for their security measures, including Mayor Fran Frrokaj, who is accused of altering property titles.
The judge panel led by Artan Hajredinaj gave house arrest to the Lezha Mayor, Fran Frrokaj.
The same measure was given to 11 other officials accused of power abuse.
Although his supporters claim this is a political arrest, Prosecutor Erjon Shehaj insists that Frrokaj is part of a chain through which they have illegally received 234,000 square meters of land near the Mali i Rencit area, Shengjin.
