Kryemadhi: “Negotiations, more important than protests. Tax law needs review”

The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Monika Kryemadhi, told journalists today that opening the EU accession negotiations is more important for citizens, rather than for politicians. She said that the opposition is being mature about this, creating comfortable conditions to the government for those negotiations.

“There are many requests from citizens to continue with our protests, but we are being mature and giving this government the necessary time to see our country progress with the EU accession negotiations. It is not something that serves to the Albanian political class, but too Albanians. The government, on the other hand, is not being serious at all”, Kryemadhi said.

The SMI leader spoke about poverty, which, according to her, prevails over the political declarations of the current situation.

“The solution to this situation is the anti-poverty package proposed by the SMI time ago. It will take 200,000 families out of poverty and gives them the opportunity to build their future in Albania. It is destroying the middle class, which is the core of the Albanian economy and guarantee for the Albanian democracy. Only a crazy man suffering from the lack of childhood love could do this to his country. It is very important to see a solution to this problem”, she said.
