The Supreme Court Judge, Tom Ndreca, who ruled on the January 21st case, faced the Vetting process today, in which he was unable to justify 1.3 million ALL. He has also failed to justify 3 accounts of his family, mounting up to 100,000 ALL.

Ndreca said the Independent Commission has calculated the numbers wrong, because 1.3 million ALL (10,000 EUR) are what he has saved during his entire life.

“All of his family members are employed”, said the Judge’s lawyer, Mine Progonati.

As for his cases, the Classified Information Procurement Directory said that in 2012, the judge’s wife has signed a sale contract for a car that belonged to her brother, who appears sentenced for drug traffic. The Judge’s brother in law was arrested in 2011 for producing and selling drugs. In 2012, the Shkoder Prosecution suspended the investigation against him after concluding that the 0.44 grams of cannabis found on him was for personal use, while the 6 kg found at his home didn’t belong to him”.

The Judge hasn’t declared this fact in the application, while the Commission considers this a connection with suspicious persons.
