Ilir Meta, Albanian Parliament Speaker, recently voted President of
Albania, said the country has a trusted government today and that the
elections will not be guaranteed by this agreement, but by all political
forces that participate.
“I want to guarantee you that the SMI has behaved very responsibly to not allow any escalation of this crisis. We were the first party to insist for dialogue. Now we have a trusted government and the DP was ready to give away all Ministries, because the power of the SMI comes from youth, not from Ministries”, Meta said.
He added that he was convinced the SMI would be Albania’s first party after the June 25th elections, and now that there is a race and democracy, there can also be surprises.
