A considerable amount of hashish was seized today by Gjirokaster Police inside a vehicle that was traveling towards Tirana.
The vehicle was stopped at the “Uji i Ftohte” area, in Tepelene, after receiving information that some young people had bought the drug and were transporting it in the Albanian capital. For avoiding the police roadblock, two of the young men jumped off the car and ran inside the forest, carrying the bag of hashish with them. But they were chased and caught by the police, together with the driver.
The arrested were students in Tirana, one of them also a football player. According to the police, they had bought the narcotic substance in Lazarat village.
