The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, declared in a meeting with the Austrian Chancellor, Sebastian Kurz, that the idea of territory exchanges with Serbia is already dead.

“How can you tell Kosovo that Serbia will recognize you, but first you must give them some land”, he said.

The Prime Minister said that as a response to the behaviour of Serbia, Kosovo has decided to increase the tax on goods coming from Serbia and Bosnia with 10%.

“Austria is an ally of Kosovo and the visit of the chancellor proves this. We are interested to reach an agreement with Serbia. It cannot be achieved with the division. I reiterate this. I told this to the Chancellor.  The border exchange is a masked way to make Kosovo give part of the territory in exchange of recognition”, he said.
