Erdogan then visited a Muslim school and dined with exponents of the minority, closing this way his visit to Greece.

Despite this, Greece has considered Erdogan’s visit as very positive for several reasons.

While it is true that Erdogan has publicly requested a review of the Treaty of Lausanne, but he has received direct answers from the Greek President and PM that it cannot be changed, as the foundation that guarantees peace between both countries and also in the region.

Secondly, besides the agreements for economic cooperation, both countries will start their negotiations for the continental shelf in the Aegean, respecting the international right.

Thirdly, the Turkish President has admitted for the first time that the Muslim community in Thrace has been divided in three groups: the one by Turkish, Roma and Roman origin.
