Government threatens CEZ

The Ministry of Energy gave a harsh press release, accusing CEZ
Company of violating the regulation declaration and threatens that will
start the procedures for the liberalization of energy distribution.

The declaration comes after a conflict that sparked between the Ministry and CEZ, after the latter interrupted the power supply for the aqueducts and other public enterprises, with the pretenses that they have not paid their service.

The power cuts have not spared even the aqueducts of coastline cities, where the tourism season is in its peak. The Ministry says that it is following the situation with great concern, and it appealed the Czech Company to reconnect energy urgently. In a press release, the Ministry considers the power cuts to the aqueducts as an unacceptable pressure, and accuses CEZ that the real reason of its financial difficulties are not the debts of public enterprises, but the bad management of the company.

The Ministry of Energy declares that the government has taken all legal measures for paying in time the obligations towards CEZ. They also reminded the company that they have not paid their obligations towards KESH and OST public companies, which are even bigger.
