The Albanian PM Edi Rama held today a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau in Germany, on the margins of the Albanian earthquake Reconstruction and the Donor Conference.
Canada has shown readiness to be part of this conference, said Prime Minister Trudeau, adding that it is a pleasure to continue to exchange and have a good cooperation with Albanians.
“Meeting with with my friend Edi Rama from Albania gives me the opportunity, first of all to express once again my condolences for the terrible earthquake, of whhich we talked about when we met at NATO’s quarters. Canada is also committed to attending the Reconstruction Conference in February. We have worked very well together on NATO missions as Albanians are serving alongside Canada troops in Latvia on the “Enhaced Forward Presence” mission”, said PM Trudeau.
Prime Minister Rama on his part expressed his gratitude, and called Justin Trudeau the prime minister of many Albanians living in Canada.
“I am very grateful and appreciate meeting with you as I know you will have a huge impact on many of your counterparts. At the same time you know that you are also the Prime Minister of many Albanians living in Canada, working hard and contributing to your country’s economy”, stated PM Rama.
