After blocking the EU accession negotiations with Albania and Northern Macedonia, France has introduced a new idea for reforming the accession process.
The document introduced by France reaffirms their support to the European perspective of Western Balkan countries, based on the history, culture, and geography.
“The factic accession of these countries will be done after the EU is reformed so that it becomes more efficient and more able to react to the best interest of its member states, which will make Europe more sovereign and more united”, says the French proposition for reforming the EU enlargement.
