Fier railway damaged

The train Vlore-Tirane risked to get derailed due to a damage that was made to the rails near Vanaj village, in Fier.

Fortunately, railway inspectors noticed the human made damage and prevented the accident.

The train was able to pass at low speed, and the repairing arrived on the scene.

The railway has been damaged in a length of 500 meters, where unidentified persons have stolen the iron plates that connected the rails. Without these plates, the rails move from their position.

The inspectors called the police, which started making investigations. The materials that are stolen from the railway are sold as scrap metal.
