Explosive at Mayor’s house

A considerable amount of explosive was found at the house of the Maliq Muicipality, Gëzim Topçiu.
It was a package more than 1kg in weight, filled with home made explosive, packed and wrapped with fuse igniter. The bomb was thrown by unidentified persons at the house yard of the Mayor.
According to the Mayor, the igniter was lit by the aggressors, but rain made it wet without letting it to explode.
The Police have started the investigation, saying that the type of the explosive has not been identified yet.
Mayor of Maliq said that this act has political motives, because it has happened right after his victory in the local elections.
The explosive matter has been sent at the Science Laboratory in Tirana.
Gëzim Topçiu won the latest elections for Mayor of Maliq as part of the left centered coalition.
