The Socialist Party started the closing rally of May 8th local elections
campaign at the Sportive Palace “Asllan Rusi”, while the Democratic
Party has just started the supporting speech for their candidates at the
“Mother Theresa” square in the Albanian capital.
According to the Democratic Party campaign organizers, this electoral meeting will have only two speeches, one from the candidate for the Tirana Municipality, Lulëzim Basha, and a closing speech from the Prime Minister Sali Berisha.
Meanwhile, during the Socialist Party rally, speeches will be held by the main figures of this party and by common citizens, followed by the closing speech of their candidate for Tirana, Edi Rama.
The Socialists have chosen the Sport Palace “Asllan Rusi” because, according to Socialist Party sources, the “Dëshmorët e Kombit” boulevard is the place where four protesters lost their lives on January 21st.
