Doctors say that the cases of herniated disks in the lumbar and cervical areas have increased, due to more frequent visits.
Professor Artur Xhumari says that these are genetic, but also professional diseases, related to the long hours that people stay in a forced position.
The neuro-surgeon underlines that herniated disks are treatable, but the patient must change his lifestyle. Doctors must not immediately address patients to surgical interventions.
For most of the cases, swimming is more advised than running or other sports.
