Division among Presheva Albanians

Ragmi Mustafa has led the Presheva Commune, in Southern Serbia, for three terms. However, he says that the recent early elections have divided Albanians due to irregular intervention from Belgrade.

“Elections need to be repeated in six stations. There is a temporary Mayor appointed by Belgrade since September. The entire government is working to support a new political party that has been on the scene for the past few years, with a mysterious leader and unknown not only to Albanians, who were deceived by flagrant interventions of the vote purchase industry”, said Ragmi Mustafa, leader of the Albanian Democratic Party in Presheva.

Mustafa is one of the oldest politicians in the valley. He says that what is happening is part of a Serbian-Russian scenario, planning to destabilize the region and make Albanians leave Preseheva.

He visited Tirana, where he met with the President and leaders of the opposition parties, saying that they are waiting for the Albanian government to intervene.

“We are waiting for the Albanian government to intervene. Albanians are in danger. They expect a solution to their basic problems. Albanians in Serbia need the same rights as Serbs in Kosovo”, Mustafa declared.
