Demographic consolidation of Albanians in Macedonia is being portrayed as something concerning by media outlets in Serbia.
The “Lajm” newspaper in Macedonia reports that Serbian media outlets have dedicated detailed reports about the ethnic consolidation of Albanians in Macedonia, some even seeing it as the start of a third Albanian state.
While the 2002 census data can be considered outdated and not very credible, Albanians have created a strong and unified block in the heart of Macedonia.
With the victory of Kercova local elections in 2013, and Dollnen in 2017, Albanians seem more united in central Macedonia.
