Cakaj: Postponement of EU accession negotiations, not encouraging news

The Albanian acting Foreign Minister, Gent Cakaj, commented the decision of the European Council to postpone the decision for opening the EU accession negotiations.

He said that the lack of time for a decision making, not the failure to fulfil the criteria, was what penalized Albania in this process.

The postponement is not encouraging news for Albania, which had deserved the opening of the negotiations since last year.
