Cakaj appeals for Kosovo’s accession to the Adriatic Charter

The meeting of the Partnership Commission of the A5 Adriatic Charter was held today in Tirana with the member and observing countries.
The meeting was led by the acting Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Gent Cakaj, who underlined the necessity of further reinforcing the regional cooperation for confronting the current challenges for the security of the region, by also noting Albania’s contribution in this matter.
Cakaj also emphasized the necessity of adding Kosovo to the Adriatic Charger, since it would contribute not only by reinforcing the regional cooperation but would also help its full Euro-Atlantic integration.
According to the Minister, the US Adriatic Charter has played an important role in the integration of our countries, by changing the region into a producer of security.
