Four months after Elsiana Hidershaj, known in the art world as Emmy,
lost her life during a fight with her ex lover, Azis Kelmendi, the
Prosecution asked the Court to sentence him to three years in prison on
manslaughter charges.

The Prosecution told Judge Arben Micko that the Court must take in consideration article 406 of the Criminal Code, which reduces one third of the sentence. If the judge will accept the request of the Prosecution, Aziz Kelmendi will be sentenced only to 16 months in prison.

According to the prosecution, the young singer had a 2 year long love story with Azis Kelmendi, a history that was heading towards the end in the recent months before her death. The prosecution said that the couple had made intensive phone calls between each other, more than 24 a day.

In the midnight of February 27th, the prosecution mentions the message of Emmy, who asked Azis if he was staying in the same bar where she was. But Azis was in the company of another woman, and sent her a message telling her to go out and take the phone card that he had. According the prosecution, when the girl has seen Azis in the car with another woman, she has tried to enter the vehicle, grabbing the windows with her hands. But Azis has driven away, causing Emmy to fall down and hitting the head in the pavement. This wound was the cause of her death in the hospital.
