Ambassador Soreca explains the EU assistance process

“There are three phases. The first, the rescue phase, is over. The second phase is the damage assessment, which will be done with the assistance of the EU countries for several days. This is a very important phase”, Ambassador Soreca declared.
“This will offer security to the people of Albania and they will be able to know whether their building is safe. The third phase is the post-disaster evaluation, until the financial support and construction. The EU is ready to support the government with the rebuilding process of the affected areas, and also other international organizations from the UN. We are in the second phase right now. When this is complete, we are going to start with the third phase. Our Commissioner will start talking to the Albanian authorities”, Soreca declared.
