After a pre-election process full of disagreements, conflicts and resignations, the leader of this political movement wants to lead it once again and he will have no rival in the elections held this February.

Kurti resigned from the Self-Determination Movement three years ago, trusting the party to Visar Ymeri, who resigned just a few weeks ago.

Kurti was detained when the party was discussing elections, but from there he instructed MPs Albulena Haxhiu and Fitore Pacolli to collect signatures for his candidacy.

Exactly during this time, a Viber communication was made public, in which Aida Derguti, now a former member of the Self-Determination Movement, was using offensive words against Albin Kurti.

But this was just the tip of the iceberg that showed how deep were the internal divisions in this party, causing the biggest crisis since 2004 when it was founded by Kurti.
