The Albanian special anti-crime prosecution branch SPAK has conducted a bilateral investigation with the Italian prosecution resulting in the seizure of a 44 years old Italian citizen assets.
Giovanni di Cosimo was detained a year ago in the city of Durres and is considered the head of a mafia clan in neighbouring Bari, reports Top Channel’s Anila Hoxha.
Di Cosimo was arrested and extradited to Italy, but a financial investigation conducted by SPAK revealed that this citizen while hiding Italian justice had invested in Albania, namely in land, cars and a factory in the city of Durres, which was seized by the authorities.
