Inis Neziri, the 17-year-old from Albania, is the winner of the International Golden Stag award in Romania Her song, “Piedestal”, has triumphed among other competitors, although it was sang in Albanian.
“This is an important step for me, because this is an international and prestigious award. I am very proud. It is like a dream”, Inis Neziri said.
The Golden Stag is an annual international festival organized in Romania by the country’s largest television network. It was started in 1968, but interrupted in 1971 by the communist regime. It returned in 1992, after the fall of communism, and it has been organized 13 times since then.
