Ermal Kuqo couldn’t become a player at the most elite basketball
championship. But what he couldn’t achieve as a player, he realized one
year after retiring from basketball.
The Albanian player has become part of the leading team of Los Angeles Clippers.
Ermal Kuqo will be International Director of Talent Spotting with the famous US team.
Born in Korca, Kuqo started his career as a professional basketball player with Tirana in 1993. He went to Fenerbahce in Turkey in 1995, where he played for four seasons. In 2001 he went to KK in Split, and one year later to Pivovarna Lasko.
His career peaked in 2003, when he was transferred to Efes Pilsen, for whom he played until 2008, when he moved to Pamesa Valencia for one year, before returning to Pilsen once again.
He has played with Turkey’s national team in 2004, and in 2010 he was allowed to play for the Albanina national team.
