“Malaj†platform, Former Minister meeting SP base

Socialist Party MP and former Minister of Finances, Arben Malaj,
notified a tour which aims to present a platform that, according to him,
will modernize the Socialist Party.
This tour will start with meetings in several Albanian districts, supported with the participation of Kastriot Islami and Rexhep Mejdani. The “Malaj” platform is based on some main points for planning a kind of “Socialist Party Constitution “, as he calls it, which will determine the rules to be followed, aiming to make the party more open and to limit the mandates of all its leaders.
“The Socialist Party must have its Constitution for basic rules and principles. Some of these rules must be determined with qualified majority, in order to protect it from individual abuses. SP must be clear for its important political decisions, especially those that are related to the Constitutional Institutions”, Malaj declared.
Socialist Party MP Malaj stood against Parliamentary boycott . However, he declared that he will not break this decision, if it will be taken by the leading organisms of the party.
Mr. Mejdani refused to compare this movement with the “Thinking Differently” movement, which started some times earlier.
