Academic Year for Universities starts today

The dean of the History and Philology Faculty, Shezai Rrokaj, declared that there have been made a series of infrastructure investments, and the students will not face anymore disorders in the secretaries. But however, the premises do not fulfill the required standards, and the teaching hours, due to the lack of premises, continue until the evenings.

“Here has been lost the concept that the university hours are held during the day. We work even in the evenings. There are no more electrical power interruptions, but even if there will be, now we have generators. The classrooms are enough to work until 19:00 and 20:00”, Rrokaj declared.

The rector of the University of Tirana, Dhori Kule, explains that only the construction of the new University Campus will resolve the lack of classrooms.

“I wish the professors and students a good academic year. Our staff will be ready to give knowledge. The infrastructure has been improved, but the final solution will be the construction of the University Campus that will be built near the current faculty”, Kule declared.

The students of the Art Academy will feel changes this year, since their school has been declared the University of Arts. The rector of this university, Petrit Malaj, wants improvements not only in the artistic creativity, but also in the scientific one.

“For me and my colleagues, this new academic year must mark the beginning of an important revolution in the concept and mentality of the artistic and scientific education in the University of Arts”. We all must be part of this revolution, because only this way we can improve and realize a successful performance”, Malaj declared.
