The High Council of the Prosecution rejected the request made by the Socialist Movement for Integration and the Democratic Party, for discharging the Temporary Prosecution General, Arta Marku.

According to the members of the HCP, the request was beyond the competences of this institution.

The Temporary Prosecutor General, on duty for the past 14 months, was reported by the opposition who claimed that she had not implemented the law.

The main challenge that has remained for the judiciary reform are the 27 names of the candidates who handed over the applications. 13 of them come from the Prosecution of Serious Crimes.

This means that the Special Prosecution Against Corruption could have members such as Klodian Braho, who investigated the Vlora Municipality corruption case; Edvin kondili, the Durres Cocaine case; Elisabeta Imeraj, who investigated the recruiting of Albaians in Syria; Eugen Beci, who investigated Dritan Dajti and Anton Martini; Arben Kraja, who investigated the Durres-Kukes highway corruption case.
