Voting process closes; Over 1.1 million Albanian voters participated in the local elections

In almost all municipalities of Albania, the voting process for the local elections has been completed, and according to the figures from the CEC, the number of voters was 1.1 million at the national level.

As the data is expected to be updated soon, the turnout is low compared to the 2021 election with about 560 fewer voters.

The participation so far without the update of the 710 voting centers that have not brought data, is about 30.09% in partecipation, with 94.04% of voters having left their fingerprints.

A disappointing figure also comes for first-time voters, of whom there are 16,576 with a low turnout of 13.5%.

The results of the three municipalities that voted electronically, Kamëz Elbasan and Vora, are expected to be announced later by the head of the Central Election Commission.
