The Mayor of Vlore, Shpetim Gjika, appeared this Monday at the Vlore Prosecution in respect of the new measure against him.
Gjika has stayed for 20 minutes at the Prosecution, although it was not a questioning session, as some sources say.
The Prosecutor has decided that the Mayor of Vlore must appear once a week at the Prosecution, until the investigations are over.
In the past week Gjika didn’t go to the Prosecution, and his lawyer justified this absence for health reasons.
Gjika is accused of power abuse and for falsifying the documents needed for the construction of a 11-store apartment building in Vlore. Gjika was arrested on February 6th, 2015, but was then released.
