Appeal Court Judge Nure Dreni was fired today following a decision by the Independent Qualification Commission (IQC).
According to the trial panel in the session, Dreni didnot result clean in 3 requirements of Vetting process reassessment, namely personal assets, professional ability and purity of image.
We recall that Nure Dreni is the judge who reinstated Luan Daci, a member of the Special Appeals Commission, arguing that he did not falsify the documents while not reporting the disciplinary measure of dismissal as incompetent, taken against him in 1997.
Meanwhile the Commission confirmed in office judge Elona Stavri Toro who works in the Court of Appeals of Tirana, and Judge Edlira Petrin.
