The Special Commission for the Justice Reform started today with opposition members participating in it as it had never happened before, and everything was finnished within one hour. Parties agreed to pass the materials of the vetting law to the panel of experts, something confirmed by democratic MP Oerd Bylykbashi. “We stated our case and now experts are working”, Bylykbashi said briefly.
Democratic Party submitted a 57 page folder with suggestions for almost everything included in the draft, but did not comment politically on any issue. Both parties have labeled the draft as a delicate matter and gave experts a two weeks’ time to review it.
As previously agreed as soon as experts will make the required xhanges, the commission will begin discussing the other two drafts included in the emergency package, those of the judges & prosecutors status and Anticorruption Prosecutor Office.
