After winning a second term as Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj was invited in the USA to introduce Albania’s capital and the transforming projects.
The Mayor will open the annual congress with the topic “Cities that grow through green areas”, in presence of more than 1000 Mayors and city managers, from 200 Northern American municipalities.
Tirana was selected as a success story where transformations have included the entire territory, mobilizing all age-groups, from kindergartens to university dorms, from new-planted trees to new complete parks, such as the ones in Farka and Kashar.
Veliaj underlined that while there is still a lot to be done when they get together, Albanians can make great transformations.
