The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, said that the Democratic Party leader, Lulzim Basha, when he was Mayor of the Albanian capital, gave himself a construction permit to build an additional store above the apartment building he was living in, without paying the infrastructure tax.
Veliaj said that Basha will be remembered as the only Mayor in the past 100 years who signed a permit for building in a public area.
“The Mayor gave himself the permit to build the 13th store at his apartment building. He had to sign this himself, although everything else he delegated to Enno Bozdo”, Veliaj declared.
“He will now receive a fine and the decision for demolishing it”, the Mayor added.
