This week marks the deadline for Kosovo’s Parliament to ratify the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro.
The US Ambassador to Prishtina, Greg Delawie, made an appeal on social networks.
“The political parties have worked hard to get to this point. The ratification of the agreement is closer than ever. MPs, let’s conclude this agreement within this week”, he said on Twitter.
The appeal of the US Ambassador was addressed to all Kosovo MPs, at a time when the ratification has been postponed several times, due to the lack of an agreement between politicians.
In the last extraordinary session, it was reported that the parties in power had found consensus. However, this was not enough for reaching the necessary 80 votes.
